Choose your Distance
65Km - Ultra Marathon
Test your stamina, endurance and mental strength by entering the 65km Ultra Marathon event. You can participate in the distance solo, or you can complete the Ultra Marathon distance as a team.
We recommend that you start your one-day 65km walk at 2am on Saturday 20 February (start in the dark so you can finish in the daylight.) It takes approximately 12 - 13 hours for an experienced walker to walk 65 kms.
Alternatively, you can choose to walk a little each day from Saturday 13 February to Sunday 21 February to reach your 65km total. You can accomplish this by walking on average 7.22kms/day for the 9 day period.
42Km - Marathon | 35Km - Endurance
21Km – Challenger | 7km - Casual
Get together with work colleagues, friends, family (COVID restrictions permitting!) or as an individual to walk your choice of 42km, 35km or 21km, or 7km distances.
See the timetable above for recommended start times if doing your walk in one day. You can also opt to spread these distances out from Saturday 13 February to Sunday 21 February.

The Route
We strongly encourage you to choose a route you are familiar with for your long distance walk, and even better if it goes in a loop. This way you have a "base camp" to return to for supplies and to touch base with your support team or a check in buddy.
Please make sure you have informed others of your intended route. Contact a support team or check in buddy regularly for support, supplies and safety.
