I am participating in this marathon, along with a great team, as our gorgeous young Chloe is someone who lives with CF. Unless you truely know someone with Cystic Fibrosis, which i know two people, you dont realise there struggle. The light and positive they have is very inspirational.
On Saturday 22nd Feb is the annual 65k 4 65 Roses Walkathon for Cystic Fibrosis at Leichhardt Park Oval, Lilyfield
All proceeds from the 65k 4 65 Roses Walkathon go towards helping Cystic Fibrosis Community Care and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead provide vital support to Chloe and people just like her with cystic fibrosis.
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) primarily affects the lungs and digestive system because of a malfunction in the exocrine system that’s responsible for producing saliva, sweat, tears and mucus. There is currently no cure. A person with CF may consume up to 60 capsules daily to help digest food and may need to do up to four hours of airway clearance physiotherapy each day. There is also the constant hospitalisation.
There are a few things you can do. You can either ;
